9th Annual Adirondack Trip

July 11-13th, 2008

Date: Sat., July 12th

Time: 9AM-???

Cost: $20 Donation

Get ready for a day of off-roading adventure in the Adirondack Mountains, near Mayfield, NY (Approx. 4 hours from Rochester area). We will have a full day of off-roading on Saturday, July 12th. For those who are interested we will also be camping in the area for the weekend and are planning additional off-roading on Friday, July 11th. Mayfield, NY is approximately:
- 85 miles from Albany
-108 Miles from Syracuse
-190 Miles from Rochester
-252 Miles from Buffalo

Note: These trails are often difficult and always unpredictable.  It is quite possible that you may damage your vehicle.  We have had stock Discoverys and Range Rovers join us in the past without incident, but you should, at a minimum, have all-terrain or mud-terrain tires, with ample tread.  You should also test the operation of your low/high range prior to hitting the trail.  Also low-hanging items, like air dams, fog lights, side steps, mud flaps are very prone to damage and removal, so plan accordingly.

Where to Meet on the day of the event:
We will be meeting on Saturday for breakfast at 730AM SHARP at the Northampton Diner 1205 NY Rt 30, Northampton Township.  The diner is on the right-hand side of 30, just as you approach the turnoff for the campground.  Head north on NY 30 about 7 miles, and Diner will be on the right about a mile after you read the township of Northville sign. Diner is about 3 miles from Northville.   There is an overgrown tree blocking the sign as you approach from the South, so be on the lookout.  If you see the turnoff for the campground, you have missed the diner.  If you are not having breakfast, please be at the diner for a 9AM departure. If you are in the area prior to Saturday’s event, feel free to stop by the campground and look us up.  We will have a number of sites reserved and will post that information shortly.

DIRECTIONS to Northampton  Beach Campground

From New York State Thruway, take exit 27 at Amsterdam, proceed north on route 30 for approximately 22 miles. Turn right at campground entrance sign and continue for 1.5 miles. Turn right again at second campground entrance sign and travel 1 mile to the park. Northampton Beach Campground. Information for booking a site is below or feel free to stop by and visit with the club in Loop 157-186, Sites 174 and 175.
